Can We Perform Umrah From Masjid Ayesha

Masjid Ayesha is also known as Masjid Taneem or Taneem Mosque which is just 5 Miles away from the Kabba. This Masjid is named after the beloved Wife of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). It is a place where the pilgrims can wear Umrah Attire and can do Niyat of performing Umrah as narrated in the Hadith when Prophet (S.A.W) was travelling from Medina To Makah with her beloved wife Aisha (R.A), in the middle of the journey Aisha (R.A) was experiencing her periods so Prophet P.B.U.H instructed her to perform all the various rites of Hajj except for the Tawaf. After her periods ended Prophet P.B.U.H instructed her Brother Abdur-Rahman to assist her to Taneem to attain her Ihram whereas Prophet (S.A.W) went to the Masjid Jurana and did the Niyat of Umrah there. It was special permission given to Aisha or any other women in the same state. After that Masjid Aisha becomes Miqat for the people who are travelling from Medina to Makah but usually women make Masjid Aisha as their Miqat. Nowadays this Masjid is having a lot of Facilities like a Washroom and Bathrooms and double-sided Separate entry for males and females. This Masjid is best suited for the pilgrim who wants to perform More Than One Umrah.

Is Masjid Ayesha a Miqat

Prophet P.B.U.H has specified five Miqats i.e. Dhul Hulayfah, Al-Juhfah, Qarn al-Manazil, Dhat Irq and Yalamlam for the people who want to perform Umrah. However, among those five Miqats, Masjid Ayesha is not considered as Miqat but Masjid Ayesha has been given a special status by our Prophet P.B.U.H. So if a person wants to attain the Ihram in Masjid Ayesha they can however, it is not specified.
